Building Regulations Advisory Director London | Competitive Director-Level Package

We are looking for a Director level Building Regulations professional to lead and grow a dedicated advisory practice within one of the UK’s leading built asset consultancies.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity — you will have the autonomy to shape a service line, build a team, and develop client relationships at the highest level, supported by an established national platform and an enviable existing client base that includes M&G, L&G and Aviva.

The Role

As Director, you will take ownership of Building Regulations advisory services across a portfolio of complex commercial and residential projects, with particular focus on Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs). Your remit will span technical delivery, business development and team leadership, working closely with project and building consultancy colleagues across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading delivery of Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD), BRPD Advisor and Client Advisor services across multiple concurrent projects
• Acting as the primary point of contact between clients, designers and contractors on regulatory matters
• Growing and mentoring a dedicated team, with support from regional offices nationally
• Driving business development with global real estate investors and corporate occupiers
• Contributing to the development of HRB services as legislation and market demand continue to evolve

What We’re Looking For

• Class 3H Registered Building Inspector (essential)
• Level 6 qualification or degree in a relevant discipline
• Strong working knowledge of the Building Regulations, Higher Risk Building Procedures Regulations and Building Safety Act
• A track record of client-facing delivery and business development within a consultancy environment
• The commercial acumen and personal credibility to operate at director level with institutional clients
